Healthy Eating: Cooking with Carly

A local Sure Start Children’s Centre commissioned Creative Wiltshire to develop content and produce a DVD about healthy eating. ‘Cooking with Carly’ features Chippenham mum Carly Brennan being taught how to cook healthy meals by chef Catherine Maxwell.

Barnardo’s children’s services manager Liz James said: “Many of our centres already run very popular cookery courses but we wanted to find a way to reach even more parents, particularly those who might prefer to learn at their own pace in their own home.”

The DVD was produced at Wiltshire College’s Interactive Media Centre as part of a partnership between Creative Wiltshire and Barnardo’s.

Creative Wiltshire producer Richard White said: “Partnership productions are at the core of our work they provide excellent opportunities for students to work on real jobs with real budgets, real deadlines and real clients. This is in addition to their course work and they get to work alongside industry professionals. So we make sure that as well as providing a great service to our clients, our students get a strong head start on getting into the industry.“
